Jeju, Korea (June 7, 2002 - June 10, 2002)
This Korea trip was unprepared. I didn't plan to see the World Cup
Live in the first place. It was just that a very good friend of
mine had a spare ticket and he was looking for someone to take up
the vacancy. |

World Cup 2002 at Seogwipo
Korea was one of the co-hosts of the World Cup 2002. 3 matches
were played in the stadium at Seogwipo - China vs Brazil,
Paraguay vs Slovenia and Germany vs Paraguay.
We just got tickets for the China vs Brazil match. |

China vs Brazil
This was a one-sided match. The Braziians were dominating
the game. However China performed fairly well and
they
nearly scored one goal. The shot by Zhao hit the post.
Despite the great effort from the Chinese side, they
failed to score any goals. The final score was Brazil
4,China 0.

Scenaries at Jeju
The Koreans say that Jeju Island has a lot of rocks, winds
and women. Besides these 3 things, there are also several
waterfalls in the island as well.
Here are some of the scenaries you can find in Jeju Island.

Food in Jeju
It was difficult to eat in Jeju and I think it applies to
almost anywhere in Korea. But please don't get me wrong, I
am perfectly comfortable with the Korean cuisine. It is just
that almost all restaurants
in Jeju had their menu printed purely in Korean. What is
worse, most of the people at the restaurants do not speak
English. Basically, one will never know what they have
ordered. But hey, this can be fun! |
