Mediterranean (March 27, 1996 - April 8, 1996)
I visited 4 countries in the Mediterranean - Egypt, Greece, Turkey
and U.A.E. This trip is one of the most memorable ones. |

Museum of Egypt, Cairo, Egypt
If you took history lessons when you were young, you must
have seen this mask from your history book. The mask belonged
to a pharaoh (Egyptian King) called Tutankaman, and his tomb
was not discovered until the 19th century (maybe the 18th
or 20th... not sure). Due to my poor techniques in photography,
you won't see the mask very clearly in the picture, but I
can assure you that it is extremely amazing!!!

The Pyramids of Geza, Egypt
Wow!!! The pyramids are really huge. The one behind me in
the picture is one of the 3 pyramids in Geza, a place near
Cairo, Egypt. The pyramid is of course one of the 7 wonders
of the world. I was really shocked when I first saw them.
They are really impressive!!
The Sphinx is one of the ancient Egyptian gods for protecting
the tombs (pyramids). It was torn apart now because of the
corrosion. You can hardly see the face of it now |

Olympic Stadium, Athens, Greece
Haha, I am now running in the Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece.
The very first modern Olympic games took place here in 1896.

Parthenon, Athens, Greece
The Parthenon is torn into pieces now. People came to worship
the Greek gods and goddesses in the past. Despite the damages,
you can still imagine the beautiful architecture at that time.
It was located at the Acropolis in Athens.

Mykonos, Greece
The Mykonos is one of the many islands in Greece. All the
houses in the island are painted in white, which makes the
island very special. I was walking around the island when
I came across one the the 4 pelicans in the island. The residents
there love them very much. |

Blue Mosque |
|
Istanbul, Turkey
The Blue Mosque is one of the biggest Muslim temples in the
world. It has 6 "worship towers". The number of
these "worship towers" defines the importance of
the mosque. The largest mosque in the world is located at
Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Troy, Turkey
I bet most of you must have heard of the Greek myth about
the Trojan Horse. The story took place in the city of Troy.
The Trojan Horse there is acutally a remake to attact the
tourists. However, you can still see some of the remains of
the ancient city of Troy in the surrounding area.

Pamukkale, Turkey
The white stuffs I was sitting on were formed naturally by
the minerals in the water. I heard that the water is very
helpful to some skin diseases. That's why I took off my shoes
to cure my Hong Kong feet.
